One thing I like to do is have people over to tell them stories about all my travels through Europe and China.

- Hello friends, My name is Marco Polo. I was born in September 15, 1254 in Venice, Italy. I am a famous traveler. When i was three years old my mother past away. My aunt and uncle raised me from then on out. As a kid I traveled to and from China with my father and uncle. They taught me how to read the bible and speak French teaching me everything I really needed to know. In 1271 when I was 17 years old, my dad, uncle, and I set off for China where we would spend the next 17 years. In 1292 I left China to return home. After my return, in a sea battle between Venice and Genoa, I was captured and taken to prison and wrote a book named Il milione. Thankfully in 1299 I was released from their prison. About a year later I married my wife, Donata Badoer. We have three daughters now. Many people have not beleived that the stories I tell them of my explorations are true but I try to find someway to make them believe me. I am known for my stories from my explorations and my dangerous trips across the sea.
